I just joined the Companions and my first mission to clean up in the lair of the vampires eyes of Mary. The problem is, I have killed them all for different tasks. I can not get another quest, and now when I try to enter the lair, my game off.

good thing about Skyrim is that it’s really up to you how you play the game. Yes, you can completely ignore the main quest line, but I would recommend it, because the developers put a lot of effort to do this, and this is one of the best things in the game! As far as the game goes, it’s not essential that you have finished it though. It is simply up to you!

There is no answer to this question. Do what you want. The only suggestion I have is that you beat the dragon near Whiterun early. Like a dragon soul and with shouts could be so useful! Regardless of how much you will receive, your enemies will be as strong as you. They gain levels with you. (The only exception seems, skeevers, wolves, etc.). So if you wait until you are stronger, you are risking your benefits selection is wrong, and not realizing it until it was too late. However, there are so many great quests that wait to do the main quest can wait, then you can come on the enemy from the epic weapons and armor.
